HydroPeptide’s Solar Dew is revolutionising the mineral sunscreen market thanks to its future-forward technology

A 2023 study by national charity Melanoma Focus revealed that 32 per cent of adults do not use sunscreen, with only 11 per cent of UK adults saying they always use sun protection.

But with melanoma on the rise in the UK, it’s vital that your clients are wearing protection even when it’s cloudy or overcast, especially after undergoing skin treatments or procedures.

Enter HydroPeptide Solar Dew Sheer Mineral Melt SPF30. As experts in skin ageing science, HydroPeptide offers professional skincare developed by geneticists, powered by patented intelligent peptide technology and backed by epigenetic research.

This innovative sunscreen features an ultra-sheer, serum-like texture that melts into the skin, providing fast-absorbing, moisturising mineral protection with a luxurious, dewy finish and zero residue. It’s all thanks to proprietary UV filter technology which provides enhanced coverage and SPF protection, without the undesirable texture or finish associated with traditional mineral formulas.

Suitable for all skin types and blendable into all skin tones, Solar Dew features a broad-spectrum UV filter containing zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, plus PA+++ for enhanced protection. The formula works to synergistically boost skin’s defences against oxidative stress, while delivering optimal age defying and skin barrier support.

Along with its future-forward mineral formulation, optimum skin health is promoted thanks to potent ingredients including squalene which helps neutralise free radicals, protects against oxidative stress, and enriches with essential moisture; peptide-powered CellRenew-16 for strengthening support; lipid complex including argan, coconut, olive and jojoba oils for hydration and increased resilience; and hydrogenated lecithin, which improves moisture retention and soothes a compromised skin barrier.

HydroPeptide believes that sun protection is non-negotiable, and so is a mineral formula free of a white cast or residue.
There are many benefits to opting for a mineral formulation—these include immediate effectiveness after application; an ideal choice for sensitive, reactive or mature skin types; longer lasting when exposed directly to UV light than chemical filters; and, considered more reef-friendly due to its composition.

But don’t just take their word for it, as the product is already being tried and tested by leading aesthetic professionals:
“I’ve been waiting for a mineral SPF like this for a long time, and I’m thrilled with HydroPeptide’s new Mineral SPF Solar Dew,” enthuses award-winning Nurse Practitioner Julie Scott. “I was initially sceptical, as I hadn’t found a mineral SPF I could confidently recommend to my patients over the years. However, it’s lightweight and absorbs quickly without any chalky residue, making it ideal for my patients with more sensitive skin and those seeking an alternative to chemical sunscreens.”

Aesthetic Doctor Lauren Jamieson believes that the beauty of Solar Dew is its adaptability for use across all patient groups, including men and skin of colour, as it blends seamlessly without leaving a white cast, and can be used in conjunction with a daily moisturiser or alone for a lighter finish.

“Solar Dew is a phenomenal SPFskincare hybrid product—it melts into the skin and affords 100 per cent mineral protection with a radiant finish,” she says. “This is a go-to sun protection product for my clinic, both post-treatment and for home care across my patient population.

“It’s the SPF of choice for my male patients and has changed the game for my Fitzpatrick IV, V and VI patients,” she continues. “HydroPeptide have once again delivered an exceptional product with broad utility, scientific pedigree and a wonderful patient experience.”

For oily or combination skin types, Solar Dew may be used in place of your AM moisturiser. Apply prior to makeup application to enhance radiance and moisture for increased longevity to your look.
