What is Picofy?
Picofy is an advanced picosecond laser system developed by InMode, engineered with multiple patented technologies to deliver exceptional precision, power and speed. Designed to support aesthetic practitioners in delivering consistent outcomes, Picofy combines innovative engineering with high-performance laser technology to enable precise treatments across a range of skin concerns.
What can Picofy be used for?
Picofy is designed to address a wide range of skin concerns including acne scars, wrinkles, benign pigmented lesions, and unwanted tattoos. The technology enables practitioners to perform treatments with confidence and consistency while delivering tailored solutions to suit individual patient needs.
What technologies set Picofy apart?
A key feature is its patented Thermal Lens Control system, which actively minimises thermal lensing effects that can occur during high-energy laser operation. In traditional picosecond lasers, heat can create a thermal gradient inside the laser rod, effectively changing the focal length and unintentionally reducing the laser spot size. Picofy’s technology controls this effect, maintaining a consistent spot size, even at higher repetition rates, improving safety during procedures.
The ultra-short 300 picosecond pulse duration and peak power of up to 2.0GW enables high levels of accuracy while maintaining a consistently high-quality beam profile at any pulse repetition rate. By combining ultra-short pulse durations with high peak power, Picofy enables precise energy delivery, supporting effective treatments while helping to minimise unwanted side effects.

Additional system innovations include:
Power Factor Correction: Ensures stable energy delivery throughout procedures by maintaining consistent power output.
Flashlamp and simmer stabilisation: Helps maintain a uniform beam profile and consistent beam size across different pulse repetition rates.
Single-chamber laser oscillation design: A patented system that improves operational stability and efficiency compared with traditional double-chamber designs.
Uniform top-hat beam profile: Optimised optical engineering delivers even energy distribution across the treatment area, reducing the risk of excessive peak energy and supporting patient safety.
What treatment options does Picofy offer practitioners?
Picofy is equipped with three interchangeable handpieces, allowing practitioners to tailor treatments to different indications and patient needs:
- ZOOM (1064nm, 532nm)
- ARRAY MLA110 (1064nm, 532nm)
- PEAK MLA60 (1064nm, 532nm)
This versatility enables clinicians to select the most suitable handpiece for each procedure, helping to deliver customised and effective treatment outcomes.
