About the Course

Our combined injectables training package offers the ideal introduction to toxins and fillers, equipping you with the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver these popular treatments in clinic. With no more than 4 delegates per session and led by leading experts in their fields, this unique training course will take you through the required knowledge and practical skills as you embark on your journey in aesthetics.

With a full day of training dedicated to each modality–dermal fillers and botulinum toxins, this 2-day comprehensive training course is designed to offer the ideal launching platform for practitioners just starting out in aesthetics. Each day, the morning covers all essential theoretical knowledge, delivered in an easy to digest format, and the afternoons are dedicated to hands-on practice, closely supervised and guided by the trainer.


After completing this course, you will have the confidence to deliver some of the most popular toxins and fillers treatments safely and effectively in clinic. Further training will be available when you are ready to take your skills and treatment portfolio to the next level.


What will this course cover?

  • History and pharmacology of toxins and fillers
  • Patient assessment and administration of toxins and fillers
  • Treatment of facial areas to include cheek and perioral areas, lips, nasolabial and marionette lines
  • Complication avoidance and management
  • On-label treatment of facial areas
  • Post treatment management
 
What areas to be treated in the hands-on session?
+ Botulinum Toxins–Forehead, Glabella & Peri-orbital
+ Dermal fillers–Cheek, Lips & Nasolabial/Marionette

Who can attend this training?
This training course is suitable for doctors, dentists, nurse prescribers and pharmacist prescribers that are registered with either the GMC, GDC, NMC or GPhC. 
Non-prescribing nurses, dental hygienists and dental therapists will also be accepted on the condition that they are able to provide evidence of working with a prescriber in a UK based clinic.

Important: If applicable, relevant evidence must be sent to training@wigmoremedical.com on completion of booking in order to be accepted onto the training. 


Non-UK based medics will be considered if they can provide proof of equivalent medical registration in their countries of origin. However, if looking to practice in the UK, registration with either the GMC, GDC, NMC, or GPhC is a requirement.

Delegates will not only learn all the relevant anatomical, physiological and pharmacological aspects relating to the treatments, but also how to prescribe the products, arrange insurance, market and price the treatments, and other valuable business tips. The practical session will cover how to assess individuals so that you can decide the appropriate treatment for different patients rather than a "one treatment fits all" approach. With each trainee benefiting from a comprehensive hands-on practice session on a model, we ensure that you gain the knowledge, practical skills and confidence to start practicing straight away.

Dr Lauren Jamieson

Advanced Injectables Trainer

Dr Lauren Jamieson has been long established in Aesthetic Medicine in Scotland. 

Having achieved her medical degree from The University of Glasgow, Scotland in 2005 and working in a number of specialities including cardio-thoracic surgery and anaesthetics, Dr Lauren completed training in General Practice in 2011. 

During this time her skills in Aesthetic Medicine evolved and she developed a thorough understanding of the ageing face and developing a passion for aesthetics, skin health and vitality, defining its importance in ageing well.

As a member of the Primary Care Dermatology Society and certified clinical aesthetic trainer, Dr Lauren provides clinically proven, customised, holistic assessment and management with advanced cosmetic treatments at her clinic in Glasgow, as well as supporting new practitioners embarking on a career in Aesthetic Medicine in both Glasgow and London.
