About the Course

Course Summary
Alidya is the first CE-marked Class III injectable medical device specifically developed for the treatment of cellulite. Used in over 70 countries worldwide, it offers a medically driven, evidence-based approach to one of the most common yet underserved concerns in aesthetic medicine.

Unlike traditional cosmetic cellulite treatments that focus primarily on fat reduction, Alidya targets the extracellular matrix (ECM) — addressing the underlying biological mechanisms involved in cellulite formation, including oxidative stress, inflammation, fibrosis, and extracellular iron toxicity.

This course provides aesthetic practitioners with a comprehensive understanding of cellulite pathophysiology, patient assessment, cellulite grading, treatment planning, and injection protocols. Delegates will gain both theoretical knowledge and practical hands-on experience using mesotherapy and cannula techniques under expert supervision.

Designed for experienced injectable practitioners, this advanced cellulite treatment course explores how Alidya can be integrated into combination treatment plans alongside modalities such as RF, HIFU, carboxytherapy, and body contouring treatments to optimise patient outcomes.

Key Learning Objectives
By the end of this course, delegates will be able to:

  • Understand the pathophysiology of cellulite and differentiate cellulite from generalised adiposity
  • Explain the role of extracellular matrix (ECM) imbalance in cellulite development
  • Understand Prof. Motolese’s extracellular iron toxicity theory and its role in oxidative stress and ECM damage
  • Identify the active ingredients within Alidya and explain their mechanisms of action
  • Assess and grade cellulite using the recognised four-stage classification system
  • Select appropriate treatment protocols based on cellulite severity, treatment area, and patient profile
  • Perform Alidya treatment safely using mesotherapy and cannula injection techniques
  • Understand injection depths, product placement, treatment intervals, and post-treatment management
  • Develop combination treatment plans alongside technologies such as RF, HIFU, and carboxytherapy
  • Manage patient expectations and provide appropriate aftercare and lifestyle guidance

What areas will the training cover?
This cellulite treatment training course focuses primarily on the areas most commonly affected by cellulite and most frequently requested by patients in aesthetic practice.
Treatment areas covered include:
  • Inner thighs
  • Outer thighs
  • Buttocks
  • Abdomen
  • Knees
  • Arms
Delegates will learn how to assess cellulite severity across different body areas and tailor treatment protocols accordingly using both standard and express Alidya protocols.

Who can attend this training?
This course is suitable for registered healthcare professionals with previous injectable experience, including:
  • Doctors (GMC registered)
  • Dentists (GDC registered)
  • Nurses and Nurse Prescribers (NMC registered)
  • Prescribing Pharmacists (GPhC registered)
Delegates must hold a valid UK professional registration and have prior experience in injectable aesthetic treatments, including patient consultation, aseptic technique, and management of medical complications.

Previous mesotherapy or cannula experience is advantageous but not essential.

Why should you attend?
Cellulite affects up to 90% of women and remains one of the most requested yet poorly understood concerns in aesthetic medicine. Despite high patient demand, many available treatments remain largely cosmetic, offering inconsistent or short-term results.

This advanced Alidya training course equips practitioners with a medically credible, science-led approach to cellulite treatment that focuses on the underlying pathology of the condition rather than simply reducing fat.

By attending this course, you will:
  • Expand your injectable treatment portfolio with an innovative body treatment
  • Gain hands-on experience with a globally recognised cellulite treatment
  • Learn advanced patient assessment and cellulite grading techniques
  • Understand how to combine Alidya with complementary aesthetic modalities
  • Improve patient outcomes with evidence-based treatment protocols
  • Differentiate your clinic with a results-driven cellulite treatment offering
  • Train under internationally recognised experts in the field of aesthetic medicine
As demand for non-surgical body treatments continues to grow, practitioners offering evidence-based cellulite treatments are well positioned within an increasingly competitive aesthetic market.
