Designed to offer advanced clinical education, the event offered an agenda, packed with lectures, anatomy discussions and live demonstrations. The speaker panel included Teoxane faculty members and renowned international speakers, including Dr Raul Cetto, Dr Lee Walker, Dr Patrick Trevidic, Dr Wassim Taktouk, and Dr Sabrina Shah-Desai.
The morning agenda centred around modern patients’ thoughts and emotional drivers for seeking dermal filler treatments. Dr Wassim Taktouk explored the evolution of the aesthetic industry and how the rise of social media platforms has changed the way practitioners connect and interact with patients.
“47% of patients that are finding you, are finding you through social media. If you don’t have a social media presence, you are losing 47% of the referrals that could be coming your way”, he told the audience. Dr Taktouk stressed the importance of building trust with potential patients by cultivating an educational, knowledgeable and accessible online brand.
The morning session continued with Dr Benji Dhillon taking the audience on a journey through his very own TEOPLAN – a process he has coined to break down the individual steps of dermal filler treatments. This includes understanding the stages of a comprehensive consultation to fulfil a treatment plan that caters to patients’ individual needs.
In the afternoon the focus was shifted to the subject of anatomy with Dr Cetto discussing the ageing process in younger patients, assessing anatomical changes in the skin, fat, and bone structures of the face. The event concluded with live treatment demonstrations by Dr Wassim Taktouk, Dr Sabrina Shah-Desai and a cadaver dissection by Dr Trevidic, streamed live from Paris!
