As patient expectations for aesthetic treatments evolve, the industry continues to shift toward solutions that deliver more than just superficial improvement and ‘filling lines’. Today’s patients seek treatments that restore structure, improve dermal quality, and promote natural-looking rejuvenation, all while offering long-lasting results.
It has been revealed that after the age of 45, loss of firmness is women’s top aesthetic concern, with 61% of women expressing a high to very high level of concern for the quality of their skin.
Novuma, an advanced CaHA injectable biostimulating gel developed by BURGEON biotechnology and VIVACY exclusively for healthcare professionals, is emerging as a leader in this new era of regenerative aesthetics, helping aesthetic practitioners address this need by providing sustained regeneration and visible clinical outcomes.

Since its launch, Novuma has expanded into more than 50 countries, with over 20,000 syringes injected worldwide. Developed by leading experts in biomaterials, the formulation was engineered with precision to deliver powerful yet controlled biostimulation.
How is Novuma formulated?“Novuma never ceases to amaze me with its unparalleled ability to maintain the skin’s natural glow. The results are not just immediate, they continue to evolve, enhancing the skin’s texture and vitality day after day.”
Dr Hassan Galadari
Novuma is a biostimulating injectable gel containing a high concentration of Calcium Hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres (55-60% w/w) suspended in a Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) gel carrier.
At the core of Novuma’s formulation is Advanced BioSphere Technology, a next-generation technology designed to optimise tissue regeneration, whilst keeping inflammation under control.
This technology enables the microspheres to be perfectly smooth, round and uniform in size, providing strong collagen stimulation to support effective fibroblast activation.
The unique CaHA microspheres and refined formulation offer a safe and long-lasting biostimulation, containing 10% higher CaHA content than other biostimulators available on the market, delivering higher clinical efficacy and a longer duration.
The efficacy of CAHA
Proven to boost collagen, elastin, cell proliferation, and angiogenesis, CaHA offers immediate lifting support and is known to enhance skin tightening, and reverse the ‘sagging’ effect of skin ageing.
How does it work and what indications can it treat?
Thanks to the Advanced BioSphere Technology, Novuma offers long-lasting stimulation, enhanced biocompatibility and a high injection experience.
Immediately after injection, Novuma fills and lifts the treated area, providing a smoothing and plumping effect. The CaHA microspheres act as a scaffold within the tissue, activating fibroblasts and stimulating the production of new collagen. As the microspheres gradually degrade and are absorbed by the body, they leave behind a newly formed collagen network, restoring density and firmness to the skin. This regenerative process supports long-term results lasting up to 18 months, depending on treatment area and individual conditions.
Novuma is particularly suitable for addressing areas where ageing is most visible, including the face oval and cheeks, to redefine contours and improve skin density and smoothness, as well as commonly treated areas such as marionette lines, nasolabial folds and temples. Key benefits include immediate lifting, progressive collagen stimulation, visible tightening, and an improvement of the skin’s structure and firmness. The product features low extrusion force, allowing for easy handling, a comfortable injection and an enhanced patient experience.
Novuma is now available to purchase through Wigmore Medical.
