Training Manager Arabella Tanyel discusses Wigmore’s education ethos and latest accolade

“We are honoured to be awarded Best Supplier Training Provider at the Aesthetics Awards 2024—our intention is to deliver the highest standards of training to practitioners to obtain the best outcome for their patients. To be recognised by esteemed colleagues and peers is outstanding and we are delighted.”
Kerrie Smythe, Sales Team Manager
Q: How does it feel to have won Training Provider of the Year at the Aesthetics Awards?
Winning Supplier Training Provider of the Year is an incredible validation of the tireless effort, dedication and passion we pour into our training programmes. Surrounded by industry peers, friends, and colleagues, we all enjoyed celebrating our collective successes. From the food to the talented live musicians, every moment was memorable. However, clinching the award elevated the experience to an entirely new level.

Q: What have you implemented in the past year that has led to the win?
It’s been a period of tremendous growth and evolution—we’ve introduced new courses and welcomed esteemed trainers. Our objective has always been to cater to the needs of customers while upholding the highest standards of quality and safety. A standout accomplishment was successfully completing our inaugural Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection, resulting in a ‘Good’ rating across all assessment categories. It’s a validation of our dedication to setting and adhering to standards that elevate the quality of care and education in our industry. Highlights include courses such as Threads Foundation, Psychology in Aesthetics, Injection Anatomy, ReLife R Technique, HydroPeptide and Microneedling with XCellarisPro TWIST—these additions signify our endeavour to stay at the forefront of trends and advancements. Central to our growth has been the addition of trainers who are experts in their respective fields. Dr Lauren Jamieson has spearheaded our advanced injectable courses, while Dr Rita Poddar leads our revamped Threads Foundation course, bringing insights and innovation. The appointment of Dr Raj Thethi as Lead Clinical Trainer has been instrumental in implementing CQC standards; his expertise has elevated the educational content at Wigmore, and his leadership in the Injection Anatomy online training programme underscores our commitment to enhancing the safety and efficacy of injectable treatments.

Q: What is the Wigmore Training ethos?
Our ethos is anchored in a commitment to excellence and innovation. We strive to be the benchmark for quality in the aesthetics training landscape, ensuring our services meet the highest standards and our training is not only relevant, but rooted in evidence-based research and industry expertise. We uphold stringent teaching standards, constantly reviewing and monitoring delivery, while our trainers bring unparalleled knowledge and experience to the table, offering support and advice in navigating the ever-evolving aesthetic market. We embrace a culture of continuous improvement, constantly seeking ways to enhance our services, and actively solicit feedback from customers as we tailor training to individual needs and preferences.
We uphold a standard of education that prioritises safety, effectiveness, and person-centred care. Our goal is to equip practitioners with the skills and resources needed to elevate their clinical practice and achieve superior treatment outcomes.

“I am so proud to be part of the Wigmore Medical Training Team—it’s great to see our hard work recognised. It also signifies that we are actively evolving and improving our training pathways to match modern, international standards. This award shows that we are still at the cutting edge and spurs us on to further improve our educational offerings.”
Dr Raj Thethi, Lead Clinical Trainer

Q: Are there any new courses coming up?
We’re thrilled to unveil a lineup of new training opportunities in the coming months, including Dermoscopy for Cosmetic Practice, a Hand Rejuvenation Masterclass, Polynucleotides, Complications, and more—each course is designed to equip participants with the tools and expertise needed to introduce new treatments and products into their clinics, or enhance existing treatments with optimal patient care. Stay tuned for announcements on when these courses will be available for booking, however, attendees of Wigmore Presents will be able to secure spots in these upcoming sessions before they are released to the public.

Q: What does Wigmore Training offer delegates?
We pride ourselves on offering comprehensive training programmes grounded in science and industry expertise. Whether through online modules, face-to-face sessions, or blended learning approaches, we cater to every individual. Practitioners train with us for several reasons: our longstanding reputation as a trusted supplier and training provider—a one-stop-shop for all aesthetic business needs—sets us apart. Our industry-recognised trainers offer a wealth of knowledge and experience unmatched elsewhere. Our commitment to safety: our injectable training courses are exclusively available to registered doctors, dentists, or nurses, a practice that’s sadly not universal in the industry. We prioritise personalised attention and hands-on learning; small class sizes for injectable training ensure delegates receive ample opportunity for practice and one-on-one interaction. Dedicated account managers host online ZO training courses, following up with in clinic visits and business support workshops. Our trainers infuse expertise with a personal touch—this garners rave reviews and attracts more practitioners through word of mouth. Practitioners invest in professional development while joining a community dedicated to fostering excellence, safety, and innovation.

“We strive to offer the highest standards of training and support fellow clinicians in their journey in aesthetic medicine. Being awarded Best Supplier Training Provider not only makes me incredibly proud to be part of the Wigmore training faculty, it highlights the hard work the whole team, from clinicians to marketing right through to our training manager, brings to every course we deliver. The aim now is build on these achievements and bring even more exceptional training opportunities to the aesthetics community!”
