Environmental toxins and ultraviolet radiation are among the most important factors that accelerate the ageing process of cells in general, but particularly skin cells. The ageing process is mediated at chromosomal level by shortening of chromosomal telomeres. At present treatments that can lengthen telomeres and thereby reverse ageing are not available.
It is well known that some stem cells do interact with other cells and modify their DNA to stimulate them to start dividing to create younger cells and also increase the synthesis of collagen. The process is mediated by growth factors secreted by stem cells under certain conditions. Growth factors lock themselves on to surrounding cells, fibroblasts and other tissue cells and stimulate them to synthesise stromal proteins like collagen or simply cause the cells to multiply.
This principle has been used to harness the regenerative power of stem cells without using stem cells themselves. Stem cell growth factors are isolated from stem cell culture, freeze dried and compressed into a tablet form. Stem cell growth factors have a short life span and therefore cannot retain potency if sold in solution. Therefore the freeze dried form is used, to be prepared by the user at the time of application. This ensures that the stem cell growth factors are optimally active when applied to the skin.
Uma Jeunesse cell regenerating essence contains stem cell derived growth factors. This product can be used in combination with micro-poration methods like derma-roller or simply on its own. Skin penetration of growth factors is speeded up by micro-poration. Ideal derma roller needle size is 0.25 mm. Skin cells are renewed and new collagen synthesis results.
The product box contains freeze dried stem cell growth factors as well as a bio trans-dermal lotion. The user can combine the two, just before use. After micro-poration with say a derma-roller, Uma Jeunesse stem cell essence can be applied on the facial skin using the dropper. The remaining contents of the bottle can be given to the patient for application every night until it runs out. For best and long lasting results, three packs should be used. Results are amazing—the more wrinkled and aged the skin, the more dramatic the outcome.
