BCAM ANNUAL CONFERENCE

The annual British College of Aesthetic Medicine Conference was held on September 22nd. Course director Ruth Harker looks back at the highlights, and invites you to save the date for the 2019 event

C?onference Director Dr Ruth Harker, welcomed delegates to The British College of Aesthetic Medicine Annual Conference on Saturday 22nd September at Church House Conference Centre, Westminster
The Conference delivered lively discussions, interesting presentations by surgeons, doctors and dentists at the forefront of their fields and live demonstrations by skilled, experienced practitioners covering every aspect of aesthetic medicine, including complications.
President of BCAM, Dr Paul Charlson, said “we aim to have an interesting relevant evidence based event. This is reflected in the speakers and the topics this year."
The line-up included, Mr Rajiv Grover, Dr Patrick Treacy Dr James Britton, Dr Tapan Patel, Dr Kuldeep Minocha, Dr Aamer Khan, Mr Nigel Mercer FSSA President, Mrs Sabrina Shah Desai, Dr Zack Ally, Dr Nestor Demosthenous, Dr Victoria Manning, Dr Miguel Montero, Dr Emma Ravichandran, Dr Philip Coleridge-Smith, Dr Hilary Jones, and Dr Gabriel Siquier.
The Business and Clinical Forum Agenda covered topics to help run a clinic, including, public relations, legal advice, structuring a successful organisation, CQC registerable procedures and GMC involvement in aesthetics.
The exciting new BCAM Academy and the BCAM Appraisal and Revalidation system were also explained.
Dr Ruth Harker concluded “A big thank you to all the speakers, demonstrators, delegates, exhibitors, sponsors and all who attended the BCAM Conference on Saturday 22nd September 2018. You all made it a fantastic, memorable occasion."
