Open day review

We take a look back at our 2022 Winter Open Day highlights

Wigmore Medical Open Day returned to the Cavendish Conference Centre, on Saturday 26 November. The event offered two agendas, led by industry experts and including panel discussions, and a showcase of the latest launches and new product lines available at Wigmore Medical—here are some of the key takeaways from throughout the day.

Learning about complications

Dr Raj Thethi, Medical Director at Yorkshire Skin Centre, kicked the day off with a talk on managing complications. Dr Thethi stressed the importance of anatomy training and continuous education for each practitioner looking to introduce aesthetic treatments in their clinic. “The further I go on my aesthetic journey, the longer my consultations become”, he told the audience. Dr Thethi insisted that managing patient expectations and discussing possible complications thoroughly before every procedure is key to building trust with patients.

The brand for everyone

Dr Lauren Jamieson took to the stage to discuss the latest skincare addition to the Wigmore Medical portfolio—HydroPeptide. Dr Jamieson raved about the luxurious experience the range provides, while delivering clinical results. “HydroPeptide truly is the brand for everyone", concluded Dr Jamieson, advising the audience to look for ongoing training support, clinical evidence and patient experience when choosing skincare brands to bring into their clinic.

The current go-to treatment

In the afternoon, world-renowned Plastic Surgeon Dr Steven Mulholland, took the stage to share his wealth of experience with radiofrequency and laser devices. Dr Mulholland shared patient results from his own practice, using Morpheus Evolve and Transform devices. He provided an insight into the patented technology employed by all Morpheus devices that puts them ahead of the competition in the body sculpting sector.

The original skin therapy

Dr Lauren Jamieson returned to the floor once again to discuss microneedling treatments and another new launch at Wigmore Medical—Dermaroller: the original microneedling device.
