About the Course

Course Summary
We invite you to join world renowned Consultant Hand Surgeon & Aesthetic Doctor, Dr Lorenzo Garagnani, for his Hand Rejuvenation Injection Masterclass. This is the first of its kind in the world. Dr Lorenzo has developed anatomically based hand injection techniques for hand rejuvenation procedures using dermal fillers and skin boosters, based on a cadaveric study and his many years of experience as a hand surgeon. His study has been published in the Official Journal of the International Union of Aesthetic Medicine UIME, Aesthetic Medicine.

With Dr Lorenzo's incredible knowledge, as an adult & paediatric hand surgeon in Italy and the UK, over 20 years surgical experience and his huge national and international teaching curriculum, you will not find a better teacher! Delegates will walk away with a wealth of knowledge and the confidence to rejuvenate their patients’ hands safely and effectively.

What will this course cover?
These extremely popular, CPD certified masterclasses have a maximum of three delegates per session, either in the morning or afternoon. The first part of the masterclass will be dedicated to the theory of hand rejuvenation injection, including anatomy, techniques, risks and complications.

This will be followed by a demonstration and each delegate will be assessed practically by treating the back of a patient’s hand. Delegates will also be provided with the marketing information to immediately start advertising this procedure to their patients.
 
Key Learning Objectives

  • Understanding of the background and relevant anatomical principles for more effective and safer aesthetic injection techniques in the hand
  • Understanding of the Anatomically Based (AB) injection techniques in the hand for dermal fillers (FAB technique) and skin boosters (BAB technique)
  • Practice of dermal filler and skin booster injections procedures in the hand with the AB (FAB and BAB) injection techniques

Who can attend this training?
This training is suitable for doctors, dentists or nurses that are registered with either the GMC, GDC or NMC and have completed introductory level dermal filler training. Non-UK based medical prescribers will be considered if they are able to provide proof of equivalent medical registration in their countries of origin and have professional indemnity cover for the hand injections treatment with skin boosters and dermal fillers with UK validity.

How will you be assessed?
Delegates must pass the post training quiz assessment with at least a 65% pass mark in order to obtain their CPD certified training certificate, which will be sent electronically following training.
During the practical session, the trainer will be assessing the delegate’s competency and skill with regards to:

  • Model consultation
  • Assessing hand anatomy
  • Selection of insertion points
  • Adequate sterilisation
  • Safety & efficacy of procedure
Anyone not meeting these standards will be asked to re-train or will simply not be certified in this treatment, depending on the level of incompetency.

Why should you attend this training?
This course is the first of its kind, dedicated to hand rejuvenation injection techniques, developed and published by the trainer himself. Although some courses have a tiny section dedicated to hands, the information is limited and never run by a specific hand expert
